The design of DC2 has been further refined to allow for cooling by either direct air optimisation using air handling units or a conventional chilled water system using chillers and computer room air conditioning units, depending upon tenant requirement. The advantage of the air optimisation solution is that it uses outside air at ambient temperature and therefore does not require any cooling thus making a substantial saving on energy costs.
Each hall will be independently serviced with its own separate plant and have a power density of 1500 watts per metre squared. The overall scheme is configured to provide two halls of
720 sq m and two of 960 sq m providing a greater range of choice to occupiers.
